- Tulle (6″x25 yard rolls)
- Rubber Bands
Each 25 yard roll of tulle is enough to make 2-3 headbands full of troll hair. Do not get the kind of tulle that has glitter on it, the glitter will shed all over everything… forever.
Each headband uses about about 20 twenty-four inch strips of tulle. Double up two strips in your hands and then fold the strips in half. Pull the ends through the loop formed at the fold to attach them to the headband as shown. Once all the strips are on the headband, pull the ends together and tie them with a rubber band. Tie a ribbon around the rubber band or add a bow to embellish. I used one of my girl’s fancy barrettes to decorate the purple hair and some grosgrain ribbon to decorate the yellow one.
I used one of my kid’s Where’s Waldo books to save time in cutting all the strips. I just wrapped it around and around and then cut them all at once. Easy-peasy.
And finally, here are the three headbands that I made today. After getting my supplies all gathered together the actual construction only took about an hour total, for all three.
